Robredo launches Naga’s green canopy, livelihood project

Mayor Leni Robredo has spearheaded the launching of the Naga City Green Canopy and Livelihood Project.
“Early morning start at the Naga View Adventist School at the foot of Mt Isarog this morning for the launch of the Naga City Green Canopy and Livelihood Project,” said Robredo.
“Through this project, we hope to increase our green canopy cover by at least 30% by 2028,” she added.
Robredo said that the project aims to make Naga City greener, the air cleaner, temperatures cooler and will make the city climate resilient.
“There is a livelihood and urban agroforestry component to this and we hope this will also improve our food self-sufficiency,” said Robredo.
“Thank you to our partners – DENR, DOST, DA, DAR, PCA, MNWD, CBSUA, Naga View Adventist and PlantNation. Thank you to our CENRO for leading this exciting endeavor,” she added.
